Why Most PT Doesn't Work

If your body is presenting some type of pain, inhibition, or restriction in some given area or position, at some point, you have to address that area, that position, or that tissue. You cannot continue to just ignore it and think that just resting is going to recover it.
There may be some periods of time where we need to back off and allow it to recover or allow it to bounce back a little bit, right? But understand by the mechanisms that the body works, when you have some type of injury, when you have some type of restriction or inhibition in an area, in a position, in a movement, it's going to see that as a threat to your survival.
And so, if you never go back into that movement, that position of that tissue in a way that's similar to what the original injury was, and that's actually greater than what the injury was, the initial injury was, your body, your tissue, your system is never going to actually be able to overcome that, right?
Literally, like if you picture two mountains and one mountain is the injury, and the other mountain is the stimulus of the rehab that you've done.
We need the mountain of the stimulus of the rehab that you've done to be greater than the mountain of the injury for your body to accept what we've done, and see that it no longer has to hold on to that injury any longer. Right?
So there may be a period of time at the start where you have to back off a little bit, but at some point we need to get to that point where the amount of what you've done is bigger than the injury. So that it can allow that to be released.
