Accumulated 7 min of hold time on the side lying bar hangs. This was not easy lmao. Did not want to do it, basically the whole time. Was to some degree just trying to get through it and get some feel on what it is that I’m doing this for and what i want to turn this into. Did it right at the start of the session. Which was a cool opener😂

Talked to a dude yesterday who was having arm issues, and one of the things he brought up was how when he first started doing the finger and wrist joint moves, he’d lose control over the moves at 20 reps

So basically something as simple as opening and closing the fingers, or flexing and extending the wrist (with no added weight) would cause him fatigue to the point that those tissues were unable to be controlled, at just 20 reps

And he had/has been dealing with arm issues for a couple months now, doing PT attempting to address it

Kinda wild to think about

But, completely understand it at the same time

Cause this just like our culture right now. It’s the way our athletes are handled and it’s the way our training is handled

Whether it makes any sense to me or not, doesn’t really matter, cause it’s what’s happening

We can relate it to the session above tho, with what i talked about on the side lying bar hangs

If i were a thrower, and i did not put myself through things like that - in a controlled setting where we can intelligently overload in a way that isn’t damaging but can be built up over a long period of time - but rather i instead did 10 pushups and 5 wall slides and 19 banded ER’s and did that for 6 years straight…

I wouldn’t really expect to be ready to go throw hard as i can for 7 innings straight once or twice a week

Like, i don’t know - it just doesn’t make logical sense to me

And that’s really all I’m trying to do in this - make it make sense
