Stop Fighting Against Yourself
Share
When or if you’re feeling beaten down
Figure it out
There is something going on that isn’t right, that doesn’t align - and THAT is the reason you’re feeling that way
Applies to your college situation, athletes
Meaning
If you’re feeling exhausted all the time it is because you are trying to fight against something that you know isn’t the way it should be
Like you’re at school, going to classes you hate, doing training with your team you think is dumb, and then trying to manage how much to party with your bros vs get in the training you know you need
-----------
All of this conflicting data is what gets in the way of you actually having energy and being able to do those things you don’t want to do
Which i think most of us understand to some degree
But the point here really is that the solution here is not time, it’s not rest… it’s solutions
Because with time and rest you may feel better for a short period of time - but as soon as that period is over, you come back and are in the exact same situation again
And will very very very quickly fall off the wagon again into exhaustion
And i know a lot of y’all are feeling that way at school or with your team
So this is the point - come to some solution, come to some conclusion
And you’ll be able to tell how “right” that conclusion or solution is by how much load it takes off of you
-----------
Practically that could mean
You ball up and talk to your coach about needing to do your own training
OR you ball up and talk to yourself about needing to be okay with doing the team training if the alternate is not an option
Same with time, same with classes, etc etc etc
It’s about coming to a conclusion or solution that is right for YOU
So you can actually go and do those things in your day to day and WANT to do them and have “your energy” when doing them
Lack of energy - exhaustion - is a symptom of not having these things aligned
But it can be figured out
