Stay Aware, Stay Willing To Experience

Stay Aware, Stay Willing To Experience

What you’re willing to experience will be what you’re able to change

This is not like just go experience the worst possible exercise tho and like that’s gonna help

It’s like being willing to experience those things that actually return function and make you better

Practically - if you’ve been “out of” your lat for the last 10 years

And you figure out how to get into your lat in the deep pushup

That is not going to want to stick

Meaning you have to stay awake enough and stay aware enough to NOT go back into the “normal” pattern of what you’ve always done

Going into your trap or going going into the upper back or tilting the pelvis

Whatever it is

YOU WILL HAVE TO STAY AWARE ENOUGH TO KEEP THE FORCE GOING INTO THE TISSUE YOU WANT IT TO GO INTO

And what that will do is quite literally re-energize that area

Think about it - an area that has not been used has no energy

Or it has less energy than it’s capacity

When you “use it” - use it means actually send a signal there for it to contract and do that to literal deeper and deeper fibers of tissue

You are quite literally putting energy and life back into that area

That’s why it feels the way it does. Like you’ve gotten freaking butterflies in the area when you haven’t used it in so long and are finally using it again. Cause you’re literally sending energy into tissue that hasn’t had it SO IT’S GOING TO BE A NEW SENSATION

BUT

That takes effort. Not effort that is just randomly sent. Effort that’s like I’ll just go as hard as i can (and slip back into patterns)

But effort that means you take the time to learn how to move, you stay aware enough to see if you’re moving that way, and you’re willing to experience the discomfort of using areas you haven’t used in years

IT’S ENERGIZING

And allows you access to those areas in sport and life
