Set Your Sights Higher

If you don’t start with the idea that it’s possible to perform without pain, to fully rehab, to never have to worry about your injury again, to be able to recover fully and completely AS you work or perform so you never have to break FROM your work or performance 

Then you’ll never get there

And here’s what i mean

Let’s say you’re a thrower and you’ve been educated your whole life and experienced your whole life that you need 3 days to recover after throwing in game to be able to throw hard again

It’s happened over and over and over again

Great

What that does is set that up as a reality in your universe that that’s the way it is

So if another individual comes along and says

Dawg, you know you could throw hard as you wanted everyday if you changed this, this, and this

That sounds like a complete lie because it goes against everything you’ve ever experienced and everything you’ve ever been told

And that makes logical sense. Like yeah man i don’t believe you because i have never experienced it and i have never seen anyone else do it

Good

But WHAT IF there was a different way to prepare, a different way to train, a different way to think, to feel, to LIVE that would actually allow that?

Like no lie, what if there ACTUALLY was a way you could be that would allow that?

I AM NOT saying to do this or that we do this with myself or any of the athletes we work with 

But WHAT IF your training was 5 hours a day instead of 1.5 hours per day and it was ALL impulses as hard as you possibly could and SOMEHOW that made throwing incredibly easy to where you could throw hard as you wanted everyday

Again - I am NOT saying this is a reality - i am saying this would be an alternate EXAMPLE of HOW preparation COULD be different that would lead to a different level of preparedness

Right - like it’s not about saying that’s a solution or that this has anything to do with impulses

It’s showing that there COULD be an alternate reality where your body would feel different based off what you did to prepare it

And it’s not even saying it would require 5 hours a day - again, that’s simply an extreme example to make the point

The point here is

If you never ALLOW yourself to CONSIDER that recovering fully as you work is not a POSSIBILITY

Then you never give yourself the opportunity to actually figure out how to get closer and closer and closer to that

So it’s like even if you have no idea how

Even if it sounds like a complete lie

Even if you’re like never in a hundred years do I ACTUALLY think that could happen….

If you will allow yourself to simply consider there is some small slight change that it COULD

Then you will open your mind to how

And now you’re looking at possibilities and potential

Instead of restriction and limitation
