One Thing I Learned From Jay Schroeder

While back I’d heard, again on a podcast with Jay Schroeder, about pulling an athlete behind a car with a rope attached so that athlete learned what it felt like to go faster than they’d ever moved before (can see I and Jackson doing that couple years back)

And it’s a similar concept that I’m attempting to apply with the band accelerated swing back of the hyper arm here in these moves

It’s the attempt to quite literally put your tissues in a situation where they are asked to accept a load that’s moving with more force than anything else it’s going to be asked to do

Is that actually happening?

I’m not exactly sure

Cause you could say that the pushup depth drops i did a couple days back is more force - and I’m sure it is

But then there’s also the question of where is that force going? What tissue is being asked to accept that force? And in what way?

Cause the force of a throw, for instance, is different than the force of getting hit in the face by a linebacker moving at 21 mph

So it’s not just blunt “force”

There’s context that can be applied into that force, depending on what it is that you’re preparing for

And that’s the idea of these hyper moves

Like there are different ways to put force into your system

And we want you to be able to handle both massive global amounts of force (like the pushup depth drops or a rebound bench)

As well as more isolated forces like these above or like a throw
