Neurology, Health and Athletics

Stick with me here, lets get some basic descriptions out of the way first, and then we’ll get into how this applies to training:
Neurology: the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system
And…
The nervous system: complex network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to control and coordinate all bodily functions - responsible for receiving, processing, and sending signals throughout the body, enabling us to move, sense, think, feel, and learn.
And one more…
Brain chemistry: the complex network of chemical substances, known as neurotransmitters, that facilitate communication between neurons in the brain - play a crucial role in regulating various aspects of brain function
Nowhere do either of these say “originates”
And lemme explain
The physical tissue of the nervous system, the physical tissue of a neurotransmitter, will be and is still present in a person that is dead
Again:
The physical tissue of the nervous system, the physical tissue of a neurotransmitter, WILL BE AND IS STILL PRESENT IN A PERSON THAT IS DEAD
So it is impossible for the physical tissue to be the “originator” or “cause point” of HOW your neurology and/or brain chemistry develops and operates because if it were, it would still doing so in a dead person, because it’s still there
Again: it is impossible for the physical tissue to be the “originator” or “cause point” of HOW your neurology and/or brain chemistry develops and operates because if it were, it would still doing so in a dead person, BECAUSE IT’S STILL THERE
Therefore, the nervous system/brain chemistry is the symptom of the origin point/cause point, NOT the origin or cause point itself
Just like in pain - the physical sensation is effect - the cause is the injury/blow
In this case the dopamine release or the firing of the neuron is the effect - “you” are the cause
“You” being the thing that is no longer there when the person is dead even tho the physical tissue is still present
——————
Trying to treat or handle human beings, then, by addressing the nervous system or neurology without consideration for actual cause point…
Is just like handling an elbow hurting or shoulder pain without consideration for the actual injury/initial blow
We will forever be treating symptoms, unaware that they are simply the effect of you (the thing that leaves when the person is dead but physical tissue is still there) and your decisions.

I think this is why we have been mostly unsuccessful in significantly changing the athletic condition of human beings.
