If It Works, It Works

I understand these look goofy
And lots of y’all call me Seedman for em
Buttttt here me out dude
Cause honestly i don’t care how something looks if it works
All we’re doing here is asking you to rebound in and out of some given end range as fast as you can
What that does is cause the tissues that decelerate or stop you in those end ranges to rapidly apply themselves to decel you and reverse you
So lets take the anterior shoulder move for example
You yank the arm up as fast as you can, knowing you’re going to have to decel at the top, and wanting to do it as late as you can, then you yank it back back down knowing you want to decel as late as you can right at the bottom
Now literally take and get a picture of the humerus working in the joint, and the ligaments, tendons, muscle, etc that is connected there
Those tissues work to keep that joint in place
Now get a picture of how that tissue has to respond with different speeds of stimulus
If you’re moving “normal” speed, there really is no demand of those tissues that is anything out of the normal at those end ranges
But if you’re yanking it, you can now get the picture in your mind of that contractile tissue having to rapidly contract to throw on the brakes and reverse you out of it
And each time it does that it gets a little tighter and more roped in, able to hold that joint in place better
So that’s all we’re doing here
Does it look dumb, sure - and fine
Don’t really care
I’d rather have your joint stay in place tbh
