Hypertrophy and Muscle Building

Don’t talk about straight hypertrophy much but sure lets do it
Personally what’s worked for me is getting really good at slow lowers
Which makes sense cause there is so much time under tension

Like we’re doing 3 min as slow lowers in both of these
And the cool thing with them is if you TRULY pull down into position the whole time
There is never a point where you fatigue because you are not working against gravity
You’re working WITH gravity
So there is no resistance to fight against and nothing to fatigue you out
Which means
You can ALWAYS pull into deeper and deeper ranges. And you can ALWAYS tap into deeper and deeper muscle/contractile tissue
and that’s really the feel i get with them
Like when I’m in the bottom of the position and it’s really hard
If I continue to pull (and don’t give in and just try to hold) i will quite literally be able to contract to shorten deeper layers of tissue that i have never accessed before
Which then allows extra layers of tissue to pack on
And it’s like dense tissue type too
Honestly have found this to work better than just like conventional bodybuilding too
Cause when you get good at these you also get better at using “more” of the muscle
Which means you can stimulate greater and provide greater adaptations ANYTIME you train cause you’re being more effective with it due to the increased recruitment
It’s really how my system blew up at the end of 2022
Learning how to do these well
Good for athletes too - when you do em well work capacity will go through the roof due to increased ability to stay at length and recover
