How To Unstick Your Hips

It’s not that heavy
——————
First time i’ve loaded the hips that heavy in a longggggg time, specifically in that range
We got +100 for the groin lower, and +75 for the lateral side lying leg plank
Goal was be in the bottom of the range for 30 sec, trying to get deeper with that added load
And honestly dude what i noticed most today was how good that extra load made the hips feel
Cause i been doing tons of hip work
Impulses, joint moves, banded, etc
But most heavy loading I’d been doing and output work I’d been doing was more in your traditional planes - squat, dead, sprint, jump, etc
Which brings to mind a good point
Everything works… until it doesn’t
It’s really good
Till you’ve been doing it too long
Like lets say i were to take and do JUST heavy hip holds or heavy hip work for 3 months straight
Guarantee the first day i went to do a hip impulse after that 3 months i’d. Be like
DANG THIS FEELS GOOD
Not necessarily because of the impulse, but because of the novelty of it
So this is part of the whole balance and dance of training
Enough novelty that you hit things sometimes and you’re like DANGGGG
But enough consistency you can actually grow and progress and get better over time in each of the things you DO do
——————
And if none of that makes sense, that’s fine
Just go do some heavy hip work
