How To Stay In Position Longer

How To Stay In Position Longer

So it wasn’t 60 sec. Got 53 or something

Something i do notice with the holds like this tho

The awareness they can bring of the difference between a success and a failure

Cause i think at some point here i could’ve kept going and got 60 sec

But you can see towards the end it’s like i give in a bit or succumb to the weight, and then maybe 3-5 sec later i fail - the point where my face like actually really scrunches up and i close the eyes - that’s the point it felt like i wasn’t in control of it anymore and i knew the fail was coming soon

Now maybe i could’ve reversed it while in it. Like became aware of that and chose to not let it go, chose to not let it go down - not what happened in this instance tho

Got me replaying further back up the line too tho

Like at 20 sec or 40 sec - it’s almost like in my mind if i would’ve kept the finish further away - not as close at it was, but just setup in my mind that i had to go longer

Then i don’t hit that point at 53 sec, and maybe i hit it at 60 sec instead

So anyway

I think that’s one of the benefits of these longer types of holds

They’re so simple you really don’t have anywhere to go. And this one being 60 sec is a decent amount of time. It’s not 3-5 min like we’ll do sometimes, but it’s also not 10 sec - so there’s actually some time there for you to be aware and awake and notice things - weight isn’t crushing you right off the bat

Which makes it a good mix of yeah this is hard, but not so hard i go unaware and i can like see how i respond to stress

Which is really what this game is about - how do you respond to stress? Can you make stress not stressful?

Like if I’m in position and it feels like that’s gonna break, can i just switch it and not go there?

Powerful man

More work to do

Mostly went down cause in the moment felt like if i tried to hold longer something might rip off

Well - gotta be better at feeding it forward (making adjustments ahead of time so that doesn’t happen)
