High Stress Levels Teach Us

High Stress Levels Teach Us

When you take your elbow and put it in the fully extended position under tons of load as shown in the incline BP from liftoff, we’re basically asking your body how much it can handle without freaking out

Applies to the shoulder in that position as well

How much can it handle without freaking out

Cause i think we’ve all experienced times where we’ve put our tissues under high amounts of pressure or stress and had a reaction of freak out

Like you land a certain way and your knee immediately wants to jerk out of that

Or you throw a certain way and your elbow immediately lets you know nah man that wasn’t it

So a big part of training is asking your tissues to handle load and forces that it simply doesn’t freak out under

Like if you can sit there and stare at your elbow or your shoulder or your knee

While you’re putting it through tons of stress and stimulus

And actually experience that thing able to handle that extreme stimulus

You then open yourself up to be able to handle more

Literally like you have better communication with that area of your body and it knows it can handle more stress and pressure and stimulus

So that’s the goal here

It’s why we train so hard

Cause your body will not allow you to do that which it has a question mark around - those things that it isn’t sure about

It will hold you back and restrict you, because it wants to protect you

Very very logical and correct response

But now that we know it, we can use it to take those inhibitors off and open you up to higher levels of performance
