Fail While Maintaining Position

Positioning matters
Like lets say you have a certain way you want to move when you throw or when you sprint right
Like there’s a way where you know when you hit x, y, and z, things come out well and you have your best performance
Great
Exactly what is meant by positioning in training
Specifically we can look at positioning as what “position” is your body designed to be in
So take the scaps for example, like in the moves above - if we want to be able to “accept” the force we can think about it like
If the scaps are down and in position, and the midsection is connected to that down through the lower half and into the feet being well connected to the ground, then that reverberates back up and it’s not now like you’re just accepting the force with the bicep (for the bicep move)
Now it’s like you’re taking and accepting that force through the whole system - like all that which was mentioned is there in place, in position, to now support the bicep so the bicep can actually work and be used in the way it was designed
So then cool thing about a controlled training environment
Is we can now take and train that through failure
We can say look this is the position, this is how we’re looking to be and move - now take yourself to a point you literally CAN’T move anymore, but keep the position - FAIL in that position
Why?
Cause when we’re fatigued as can be now what do we resort to? The position we’ve trained ourselves to be in
And if that position we’ve trained ourselves to be in when fatigued is still the position our body is designed to be in
We never actually get out of or lose position
Not sure how much of this makes sense - definitely something to experience, not just read about - cause it’s like you can feel yourself just tapping into deeper and deeper and deeper tissues when you refuse to lose that position
But IMO the benefits for performance outweigh just like doing random 3x5’s and cross breed left hand abduction swings with leg kicks
