Elbow Health For Throwers

Elbow Health For Throwers

August 24, 2025

One of the areas I find that should be hit more, as it relates to the elbow, that isn't often hit, are the fingers, right? Because usually, with the elbow, we're training the bicep, we're training the tricep, we're probably even training the forearm, we're training the shoulder, spine, etc. all that.

But don't forget about the fingers specifically when we're in elbow extended positions where those fingers are having to work. Because a lot of times the elbow issues come at release for throwers or even at layback. And just that elbow extended position is one that I'll find that gets neglected quite a bit.

So specifically, the pinky, the ring finger, the middle finger, especially those pinky and ring fingers, those are good to help support that medial side of the elbow to help support that and protect that farther up the chain.
